Heart's Desire by Amy Andrews5/30/2023 Jeri Andrews: XOBC Cellars was born of a shared focus between four close friends: a love of extraordinary wine and a vehement, innate desire to give back and create change. How does the friendship of the four founders infuse your business and your winemaking? We caught up with co-founders Jeri and Amy Andrews to talk about XOBC’s origins, how it got off the ground and how it’s achieving new heights today. Of course it has! Brandi Carlile is undeniable and, together, the four founders know not simply what goes into a good glass, but what goes into a good conversation for a better tomorrow. With a strong network of customers and “Collectors ” (their term for wine club members), the winery has grown since its inception in June 2019. They have also partnered in the past with War Child UK and Children In Conflict. On top of that mission, XOBC Cellars works to give back, partnering with charities like The Looking Out Foundation, which works to empower marginalized voices. Founded by wives Jeri and Amy Andrews, and Catherine and Brandi Carlile (yes, THE Brandi Carlile, multi-time Grammy Award-winner), the winery aims to combine inclusiveness with sipping your favorite variety.

Cinder & Ella by Kelly Oram5/30/2023 I reminded myself every time I spoke to him that he dated other girls all the time. I told myself all the time that Cinder and I would never be anything more than friends. The other thing my conversation with Cinder did was free me from that small hope I’d had that someday we would have a happily ever after. For me to not understand his hesitation would make me the biggest hypocrite in the world. It also happened to be exactly why I was scared of meeting him all this time. Which, if you thought about it, was really sweet. His reasoning was stupid, but at least he wasn’t rejecting me. It was nice to understand what he was thinking, why he’d never asked to meet. For one thing, I no longer had to stress about the What Ifs. I was devastated that Cinder didn’t want to meet, but in a way I was also relieved after our talk. Into the water paula hawkins summary5/29/2023 Parentless and friendless, she now finds herself in the care of her mother's sister, a fearful stranger who has been dragged back to the place she deliberately ran from-a place to which she vowed she'd never return. Left behind is a lonely fifteen-year-old girl. They are not the first women lost to these dark waters, but their deaths disturb the river and its history, dredging up secrets long submerged. The author of the #1 New York Times bestseller and global phenomenon The Girl on the Train returns with Into the Water, her addictive new novel of psychological suspense.Ī single mother turns up dead at the bottom of the river that runs through town. David Colacci gives us an excellent reading of this audiobook. agent Aloysius Pendergast, introduced in this novel. However, it commences a wonderful series of intelligent thrillers featuring the brilliant, erudite, albino F.B.I. "Relic," unlike most thrillers, has no primary hero, but, rather, three or four protagonists. The extended sequence in the dark catacombs under New York's Natural History Museum provides unparalleled suspense. "Relic" grips you right from the beginning, and doesn't let go until the end. But Preston/Child's excellent writing and thorough research facilitate our willing suspension of disbelief, rendering even the most far-fetched plot concepts scientifically plausible. The plot of "Relic" had the potential to flop, since it tells an improbable monster story. In my opinion, that test of timelessness indicates a good novel. Even thought "Relic" was published 'way back in 1994, it still delivers plenty of thrills and excitement after all these years. AuthorWrite something about yourself.
